header=Rules for Altimit World - Star Server&rules=1)  This is an Online IRC RPG. Unlike most IRC RPGs, this one uses the ENTIRE Server, not just one room. This RPG is based off of .hack's "The World".

2)  There will be a keyword system in place like of that in "The World". Keywords will be accessed via chat room, like #Beta_Test_Area. This is not a real room, but an example of how keywords will work.

3)  Casual chatting in battle fields will not be allowed. If you want to chat with your party, or other players, you must go to a "Safe Keyword" (a field where battling is not permitted), or talk in the Star Root Town (#Root), or whisper each other (/msg). Only battle commands and strategies are allowed in battle areas (Ex: <BlackRose_kiteparty> Kite_kiteparty cure me!)

4)  You can meet other players and talk to other players in Safe Keywords and in the Root Town, however in order to have a player join your party, or for you to join their party, you must gate out of all fields (and the players in the party you are joining must too) and band into your party in the Root Town.

5)  Parties are designated by adding a party name to your screenname. For example, your screenname is "kite001" and you wish to create a party, you must choose a party name. Let say you chose "kiteparty". Your IRC nick must be changes to "kite001_kiteparty". Simple, isn't it? This is so players know what party other players are in.

6)  There will be protected areas. These cannot be accessed by the general public. They will be protcted by an IRC password. Gate Hacking and Data Drain are features in the .hack// line of PlayStation 2 games, but not in Altimit World. Any form, or variation of Gate Hacking will result in a ban from Altimit World. There is nothing worth risking a ban for behind protected areas in Altimit World. They are just potential future areas that the Server Adminstrations are testing out before unlocking to the public. No items or anything useable by the public can be found in these areas. Don't waste your time and risk being banned. (Guessing of a simple password is considered Gate Hacking and is grounds for a ban. Like we said, don't bother trying to access a protected area in Altimit World. It's seriously not worth it! And even if you did get in, the battles could be so difficult that your party and character would be destroyed before the Adminstratior ever had a chance to ban you.)

7)  In the beginning, there will not be many keywords. Also, there will only be battles against friends, and no level system. It will be opened in this state just so you can play around and use your own level system with friends. Just abide by these rules. In the future there will be Bots (IRC Programs) monitoring battles, and battling you, so that you may gain levels, and hold items, and be able to solo if you wanted to. However at this time we are just beginning and there will not be anything available yet, since .kite//Synternet (Altimit World Adminstraitor and Owner) will have to create these programs. Be patient!

8)  Creating your own keywords will not be allowed for technical reasons. However, because of this, you will be allowed to get a list of all already created keywords. Simply type /list in your IRC Program.

9)  If you try to gate (/join) a area (room) and it says you are not allowed to access this room, you've found a protected area. Read rule 6.

10) This is just a beginning set of generic rules. Once the system has been in place for a while, and more features are added, more rules will be added.

11) Abide by standard netiquette.. Meaning do not harass any users, ect. Also, no foul language will be tolerated. This game is targeted for all ages, so there may be young children around you. Remember that!
